Enventure wins Asset BOM management project from a Pharma major in the US

Enventure wins a contract to render Asset BOM Services for a global leader in Pharmaceuticals. Enventure willconstitute a dedicated team of resources with experience in spare parts asset BOM creation, parts cataloguing and price sourcing. The major takeaways of this project are – Developing a structured approach to create asset BOM and parts catalog, reduced turnaround time, and overall cost saving in concurrent processing of multiple work streams.

The client is a global leader and is a pharmaceutical manufacturing and drug technology. The client is known for serving various medical fields such as Oncology, Cardiovascular, Neurosciences, and Respiratory and Metabolic diseases. A multi-disciplinary healthcare teams managed data and asset information across ERP systems. The client needed a streamlined and standardized workflow process to manage asset data by aggregating relevant inventory data from disparate IT systems that fosters efficient team collaboration, reduces errors, and gives better visibility of inventory across locations.

The scope of work is split into various stages based on the need for Accurate Asset BOM creation:

  1. Data Cleansing: Enventure will review the list of Assets and parts in the system and perform data cleansing by
    1. Extracting Manufacturer/Supplier names into a separate field from the description
    2. Extracting part numbers into a separate field from the description
    3. Normalizing the Manufacturer names to a standard format
    1. Spare Part Identification: In this stage Enventure will connect with all manufacturer identify and collect the spare part information across the supply chain:
    1. For each asset, identify the associated recommended spare parts.
    2. Capture the spare part manufacturer name, part number, quantity required. Also separately capture the OEM name and the OEM part number.
    3. Integrate the data collected onto the client’s CMMS system
    1. Determine Lead time and Cost: The spare delivery time and cost are interdependent since the supplier can be either a manufacturer or a distributor.
    1. Identify the supplier support for all spare parts procured.
    2. Create a supplier engagement strategy to build long term business relationship
    3. Generate a process for system-based quote generation, considering delivery time and cost factor.

    The project is managed by a team of Asset BOM Analysts, Engineers, Material Cataloguers and Supplier engagement professionals. By deploying ISO 8000 certified engineers, Enventure will handhold the client to achieve the Accurate Asset BOM integrated into their CMMS system.
